Video Challenge What Fun!

I’m participating in a video challenge designed to help we neophytes get comfortable and proficient in creating videos for our tribe. Below is my very first — warts and all — video. Our assignment was to share five fun facts about ourselves. It’s far from perfect but you will learn more about who I am — in case you were wondering. <Big Grin>

Enjoy and feel free to comment with any questions. Thanks for watching!

I regularly share inspirational quotes and memes on my social media accounts. Please feel free to visit and share any that resonate with you.

The challenge today was to tell you 5 things about me.

I live on top a mountain in Pennsylvania with my husband, 3 horses, 2 standard poodles, and 3 cats.

I love to travel. So far my favorite destination is Kauai. If it weren’t for all those darn crowing roosters it would be perfection but it’s still pretty fabulous!

I used to be known as The Database Diva. For many years I created custom database solutions for companies. My specialty was in publishing. I worked with many of the large publishers in New York City, including a short stint with the company who owned Little Golden Books. I loved those books as a child so it was a real kick to work with the publisher.

In my 40s I decided that it was time for a horse. Having grown up with them I was hopelessly hooked. So I went searching and found my dream horse on the internet (where else?) and traveled seven hours to meet her. I was smitten with my Black Beauty and brought her to the big, bad city, Brooklyn, NY, where we began an incredible life-changing journey together.

Her name is Scenic Mist (Misty) and she was the most difficult horse I had ever met. In my quest to help her with all of her issues I studied natural horsemanship, barefoot hoof care, homeopathy, animal communication, EFT, Equine Touch, equine nutrition, essential oils and several other modalities that I’m forgetting at the moment. For a number of years I used that knowledge to rehabilitate lame horses and give them another chance at life. It was a labor of love but definitely not profitability. So many stories… but that will wait for another day.

I’m a late bloomer having reinvented myself several times before discovering my soul purpose IN MY 50s! Everything I learned along the way contributed to finally finding this path. Because of that I want to say: As long as you’re breathing it’s not too late. Never let age be a hindrance.

I feel extremely blessed to be doing this work. It is what I was born to do. Truly I love it so much I would do it for free if I didn’t have that pesky mortgage, electric bill, oh and the husband, 3 horses, 2 poodles and 3 cats to feed.

If you’d like to join the 30-day video challenge use the link below. If you’re a fan of inspirational quotes and memes I invite you to visit my Facebook,  Twitter, or Pinterest pages. I regularly post original quotes downloaded from the Akasha. I’m on a mission to share these uplifting messages which are particularly needed in these (to put it politely) confusing times.
